  • In 2008-2009, the Food Bank distributed over 29 million pounds of food throughout our 19 county service region.
  • In 2008-2009, the Food Bank distributed 1,056,755 pounds of food to agencies in Anson County.
Anson, NC County Partners
The Food Bank supports 13 agencies in Anson County including Anson Crisis Ministry, Feed My Lambs, Wadesboro Area Community Outreach Ministry, and Burnsville Recreation and Learning Center.
 
Anson County agencies are served through our branch warehouse in Mt. Gilead in addition to our main warehouse in Charlotte. This branch also serves Montgomery and Stanly Counties.
 
Anson County has a Kids Cafe and Backpack Program site located at Burnsville Recreation and Learning Center. This site serves approximately 30,000 meals and snacks each year to children who have otherwise been hungry. In addition to the Backpack Program at Burnsville, Second Harvest also provides backpacks for Morven Elementary School and Wadesboro Elmentary School.
